Is it safe for cats to climb trees?

We all know cats are curious creatures, and they often like to explore their environment. For cats, this means climbing up trees. But is it safe for cats to climb trees?

The answer is yes, but with a few caveats. Cats are agility animals and strong climbers, so they can easily get up high without any risk of falling. Typically cats will climb a tree to observe their surroundings or catch some prey - if so inclined.

However, while they might be able to make it up the tree easily enough, getting back down can be a different story.
